Harvesters of Hope Executive Director Tom Heflin recently had the opportunity to speak at the National Conference of Bar Foundations Annual Meeting, hosted by the Alabama Law Foundation in Montgomery.

The annual meeting brought bar foundation leaders from across the country together for three days of education, collaboration, networking, and fellowship.

During his presentation, Tom shared the history of Harvesters of Hope and discussed the organization’s ongoing work to expand access to legal services in underserved communities across Alabama. He also highlighted the benefits and incentives available to attorneys who choose to practice in areas where the need for legal representation is especially great.

Harvesters of Hope is grateful to the Alabama Law Foundation for the invitation to share our mission with bar foundation leaders from around the country and for its continued support of our work throughout Alabama.

Opportunities like this help bring greater attention to the challenges facing rural and underserved communities while encouraging more attorneys to consider the meaningful impact they can make by serving them.
